I have some wonderful news to share! Christof van der Ven has announced details of his second record You Were The Place, which is due for release on September 6th via Planet Zog Records. The record has been produced and mixed by Christof's Bear's Den bandmate Marcus Hamblett and features instrumentation from a wonderful group of musicians: Tommy Heap, Jools Owen, Tommy Sheen, Emma Gatrill and Andrew Stuart-Buttle.
I started to listen to Christof a little back in 2016 around the release of his Montreal EP, but really fell for his music upon the release of debut album Empty Handed just over a year ago. Ahead of a current period of touring as a member of Bear's Den, he recently released the EP Beneath The Ordinary Load. Truly a gorgeous collection of tracks. The promise of a new record incoming is very exciting news and I'm excited to share the first track, Bravais Arc.

Christof plays a run of UK and EU tour dates in October to support the release of the record, with shows at The Hope & Ruin in Brighton (7th) and The Lexington in London (8th) - tickets and full dates here.
