The gloriously talented bunch Low Island are gearing up to release Low Island 17-18, a collection of their tracks so far (categorically not an album) in September, and they've just shared a revamped version of early tune Holding It Down. Consider my interest piqued. I love these guys, not only are their studio recordings some of the best tracks I've heard over the last couple of years (a favourite has to be (Pause)) but they're a wonderful live band, and this new track captures the energy of a Low Island show.
If you're in the Oxford area and fancy catching them live (why wouldn't you?!) then you're in luck as they're launching the collection with a hometown show upstairs at O2 Academy Oxford on 21st September with support from locals BE GOOD (who I completely adore too) and Theo. Grab tickets for the show here!
Low Island 17-18 is being released on vinyl on 20th September, their first physical release - pre-order it here!
