Bryde played a superb set opening up for Banfi back in September, and I'm digging her new single To Be Brave. London-based and Pembrokeshire-born, Bryde, aka Sarah Howells, is "a girl and an electric guitar playing fierce and fragile songs [...] swaying from vulnerable to uncompromising [...] honest and furiously authentic", a description which fits the new single pretty perfectly. She's recently announced her debut album Like An Island, which you can pre-order in various formats and bundles here, and catch her on tour (with a bunch of brilliant support acts across the tour including Pip Hall and Sick Joy) across April and May (dates and tickets here.)
